"Through a partnership with our community, we the members of the Pulaski County Sheriff's Office promise to provide all the citizens with the highest degree of protection for their lives and property and to develop community responsibility directed at reducing crime and enhancing safety through problem solving tactics, thereby creating an environment where crime cannot flourish."

Goals of The Pulaski County Sheriff's Office

The Pulaski County Sheriff's Office exists for the purpose of safeguarding life, liberty, property and maintaining civil order. In order to serve these purposes, the Pulaski County Sheriff's Office will appoint the necessary personnel to provide for the enforcement of the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia and the County of Pulaski. Through its appointed personnel, the Office of Sheriff will provide uniformed patrols, investigations of motor vehicle accidents, criminal investigations, civil process, corrections and courtroom security and services to provide for the protection of life, liberty and property as needed by the citizen's of Pulaski County. The Office of the Sheriff and its appointees will, at all times, endeavor to provide these services in a courteous, professional manner that will preserve public confidence in our democratic process.
