Introduction
The Pulaski County Sheriff's Office, under the leadership of Sheriff Jim Davis, is a professional law enforcement agency located at 86 East Main Street, Pulaski, Virginia. Agency personnel work diligently in order to maintain high standards, striving to safeguard the lives and property of our citizens, reduce and deter crime, and to enhance public safety in an effort to improve the quality of life in Pulaski County and the Commonwealth of Virginia.
The Pulaski County Sheriff's Office has a total of 61 employees. Under the Sheriff: Chief Deputy (Major), Patrol Captain, Criminal Investigations Captain, Court Security and Transportation Captain, Administrative and Patrol Lieutenant, and Administrative Secretary.
Population
Pulaski County is located in Southwest Virginia and is surrounded by Bland County, Giles County, Montgomery County, City of Radford, Floyd County, Carroll County, and Wythe County. According to the U.S. Census Bereau (2010), the county has a total of 320.57 square miles. There are 34,872 people living within Pulaski County. Within the County are the municipal towns of Dublin and Pulaski.
