K-9 Unit

The Pulaski County Sheriff's Office currently has two K-9 units within the office. K-9 "Alma" and her handler Deputy David Cressell and K-9 "Baloo" and his handler Deputy Lucas Nester.

Each of these K-9's serves a vital role within the department and both have differing capabilities.

K-9 Alma, is crossed trained both as a patrol dog and in the detection of drugs. K-9 "Baloo" is a bloodhound and is trained for human tracking. Alma and Baloo along with their handlers spend numerous hours training and at demonstrations for local community and civic events.
