Drones have became a crucial element for the Pulaski County Sheriff's Office. Being deployed for events such as missing persons, runaway juveniles, natural disasters, and various other situations.
Operators for Pulaski County Sheriff's Office Drone Team
Currently our done team consists of Inv. Todd Hayes and Deputy Alex Akers. These two started up our program and continue to improve it every flight. They strive to continue the success of our drone program and are currently looking to add to their team of operators.
Hurricane Helene Drone Efforts
Hurricane Helene was a large natural disaster that occurred in Pulaski County in September of 2024. By using drones our Drone team was able to locate people needing evacuated from their homes, immediately recognize areas of need, and also locate hazardous materials floating in Claytor. The drones would follow rescue teams to insure safety as well as direct them to exact locations that needed assistance.
