Claytor Lake Regional Crash Investigation Team


Distracted driving is a dangerous epidemic on America's roadways. In 2010 alone, over 3,000 people were killed in distracted driving crashes. While driving, eliminate all distraction that divert your attention from the road. Most importantly, hang up the phone and drive.


This team is a cooperative effort by Pulaski County law enforcement agencies to reduce fatal and serious vehicle crashes on our roads.

The Claytor Lake Regional Crash Team, comprised of members from the Pulaski County Sheriff's Office, Pulaski Police Department, Dublin Police Department, and Virginia Highway Safety Office.


The Crash Team is primarily responsible for investigating fatal and serious injury automobile crashes and determine cause factors that may have contributed to the crash. The Crash Team's investigation can assist law enforcment agencies in subsquent court proceedings and can provide information concerning enviromental and safety factors that might lead to highway improvements that could potentially reduce crashes in the future.
